Much-branched bush or shrubby tree to 7 m. high.

Flower

Male flowers:bracteoles fan-shaped, laciniate, plumose, reddish; stamens 3.8 mm. long, with pedicels rarely minutely pubescent. Female flower:styles ± 1.8 mm. long, joined to ± halfway, puberulous, with thickened distinctly bifid apices.

Fruit

Capsule exserted on a pubescent pedicel to 4 mm. long, broader above the middle, ± 7.5 × 7.5 mm., pubescent, becoming dark red.
